Septic System Design
Since the inception of I/A OWTS septic system requirements in eastern Long Island, DAE has been at the forefront of managing septic system design and the necessary application processes to the Suffolk County Health Department. With our extensive expertise, we specialize in both residential and commercial innovative and alternative (I/A) septic designs and permitting. These systems incorporate advanced technologies and treatment processes to improve the quality of effluent before discharge.
● Design and permitting of I/A septic systems specifically in areas with sensitive environments, limited space, high water tables or where standard septic systems are not an option
● Well-versed in navigating the Suffolk County Health Department’s septic permit procedures, ensuring compliance with all necessary regulations
● Experts at tackling challenging site conditions including those with high groundwater levels, wells, wetlands, driveway covenants and poor-draining soils
● Commercial flow rate assessments to evaluate and determine the appropriate septic system design to accommodate specific project requirements and demands
● Comprehensive septic inspections and certifications
● Proactively assist clients by facilitating the collection of essential pre-design documentation, including test holes, surveys, mark outs, and neighboring well locations
Stormwater Management & Landscape Drainage Design
Drainage plans are required by most municipalities as part of a building permit application or by NYSDEC/Town Wetlands for an environmental permit. Our expertise extends to:
● Drainage plans for municipal, DEC, and wetlands board permits
● High groundwater drainage techniques including shallow retention systems, gravel beds, and french drains
● Areaway and lightwell draining
Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP)
The owner/operator of any NYS construction project that will involve soil disturbance of one or more acres must obtain coverage under the State Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (SPEDES) General Permit for Stormwater Discharges from Construction Activity. DAE helps identify when a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) is required and guides you through the entire process. This includes:
● Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan preparation
● SWPPP management through MS4 acceptance and DEC approval
● SWPPP inspections
Grading & Earthwork
Site conditions in coastal areas present a myriad of challenges. Our firm offers a full range of site design services to integrate your plan into the existing landscape. Services involve:
● Site grading plans
● Cut and Fill Analysis
● Driveway and road plans
● Retaining wall designs

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

3D Modeling & Analysis
We leverage the power of civil modeling software to develop 3D site plans, enabling enhanced precision and coordination across the entire project site. This facilitates the integration of various data sources into the model, ensuring the design aligns with real-world conditions. A comprehensive visualization of the project allows stakeholders to better understand the proposed design and its impact on the site. By utilizing civil 3D tools and advanced modeling capabilities, we provide greater accuracy, improved coordination and streamlined project workflows.
/02
Collaboration & Communication
Our team of engineers collaborates closely with architects, owners and designers throughout the entire process, starting with the foundation of individualized design criteria to the development of a customized engineering approach. This collective teaming approach ensures that the final design aligns with our clients’ vision while also maintaining practicality and feasibility.
/03
Innovative Approach
With our expertise, we possess a wealth of experience in seamlessly incorporating non-traditional materials and employing innovative analysis processes to address even the most demanding site conditions. Our approach is always environmentally conscious, ensuring sustainable solutions that are in harmony with the surrounding environment.
